Hello,
Nice to meet you!
By scrolling through this site you can learn more about my experience, creative endeavors, and professional skills. Throughout my career I have improved team efficiency while fostering a positive work culture by utilizing strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic.. The streamlined and well-organized processes and procedures I utilize as the billing manager for a digital marketing company provides transparency and strong interdepartmental cooperation, which increases profits and makes everyone’s job easier.
My creative outlet is my Etsy shop, where I have designed my product lines, developed my brand, and built the entire enterprise into a significant side business. This satisfies my artistic side and energizes me to use this same level of ingenuity and problem solving in my professional capacities. In addition, I love music, and spending time with my family, friends and cat.
Experience
Billing MANAGER AT FRANCHISE FOCUSED MARKETING
Franchise Focused Marketing (FFM) is a digital marketing agency with a boutique fitness brand focus. FFM runs digital ads, manages social media platforms, creates custom landing pages and websites and provides a full range of services that assist small businesses in maximizing their marketplace exposure.
As billing manager, my responsibilities go beyond ensuring that clients are billed correctly. It is my responsibility to ensure that clients are informed and understand the billing structure and process. Likewise, building strong vendor relations helps the entire organization run efficiently and without unnecessary delays or complications. . I oversee 1000-plus client accounts and ensure that the process is error free, which is crucial to maintaining cash flow and undisturbed business operations. We have a custom platform for our monthly billing within which I update subscriptions and monitor payments. I work alongside our Tech department to create new products, coupons and other items when necessary. I also utilize QuickBooks to send invoices. I run daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure that all payments are received in a timely manner.
Office Manager
For my first 4 years with the company I served as the office manager. In my role I managed relationships with vendors, service providers and building management as well as placed and approved supply requisitions, and completed administrative functions. I also helped to cultivate a professional culture that not only built sales but also retained valuable employees and a strong team-oriented atmosphere. This included creating team events that fostered creativity and authentic workplace camaraderie. Possibly the largest impact I had is in the hiring and onboarding process. Selecting excellent candidates and giving them quality introductory training, sets a positive tone for the rest of their time at the company.
OWNER OF CLDHRNNDZ ETSY SHOP
I opened my Etsy shop in 2015 as a way to explore my creative interests and gain supplemental income. My professional dedication to the business escalated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Running this shop has given me first-hand knowledge about how to operate a small business, develop original products, and market my work.
At the beginning of the pandemic, I expanded my product line, focusing on designer face masks. By creating unique masks that people were excited to wear, I grew traffic to my shop while promoting safe practices and helping to prevent the spread of the virus.
After building a strong product line, I improved my marketing. I worked consistently on strengthening the store’s brand through various social media efforts. I developed relationships with key influencers who shared my products. I maintained social media profiles for the shop and created promotional content to boost engagement and draw new customers.
Through improved product development and marketing, I increased visits to my shop by 876% while increasing sales and revenue by over 1,400% over the course of 2020.
Front desk agent AT Sheraton Gateway Lax
The Sheraton Gateway LAX is a fast-paced environment with over 800 rooms and an average of 600 of those turning over each day. As a front desk agent, I checked guests in ensuring that their reservation information was correct and that all their needs were met. At the end of their stay I verified that all billing was accurate and received feedback on their experience. During the duration of a guests’ reservation, I assisted in making any necessary changes and resolving any complaints. This involved collaborating with multiple departments to answer guests’ requests to the best of our ability.
MARKETING ASSISTANT/Security guard AT MUSIC BOX
Music Box is a premier concert venue in downtown San Diego. Upon my graduation from San Diego State University, I was hired as the marketing assistant at Music Box after serving as an intern during my senior year. After a few months, I was also brought on to the security team where I worked to establish a safe environment for our guests, the performers, and our staff.
My marketing position had two main roles, overseeing the in-house marketing and managing the social media presence. For our in-house promotion, I ensured that all the posters and flyers around the venue were kept up to date and highlighted upcoming shows that may interest the attendees of each concert or event we put on. I also made slideshows and playlists to curate a welcoming environment for each show with a positive energy for the artist to build off of when they took the stage.
As an intern I was on the forefront of a complete overhaul and rebranding of their digital presence, and I continued that work as the marketing assistant. To help build the Music Box brand, I created and edited posts, keeping in constant communication with other members of the marketing team on ways we could improve our online presence and engagement. With this more detailed approach to their social media presence, I aided in doubling our engagement on Instagram.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF Aztec music group
Aztec Music Group is a music business organization at San Diego State University where students are able to gather with like-minded people to learn about the music industry and gain experience. My second year with the organization I was elected Vice President of Communication where I focused on ensuring that everyone had the information they needed as well as creating a bond among members.
My third year I was elected Executive Vice President. One of my main roles within the position was as the head of our Artist Development Committee where we focused on the artists songwriting and producing skills as well as educating them on the business side of the industry. We devoted time for the artists to share what they were working on and give each other constructive criticism. In addition we hosted workshops on topics such as creating a brand, writing and understanding contracts, ensuring copyrights and more.
I also oversaw many events, as well as an album release. Each year I assisted in the planning and execution of our annual Silent Discos and DJ Battles. The project I headed as Executive Vice President was the development, production, and release of our second annual album, The Backdoor Vol. 2: Reopened. The album showcases a diverse group of SDSU students and music genres over 16 tracks. I oversaw the entire process of the release starting with accepting and reviewing submissions for the tracks. Our Artist Development Committee selected the tracks and then worked together to mix and master them. Finally, we finalized the album art, created a marketing strategy and distributed the album on all streaming platforms with some limited edition physical copies available as well.
INTERN AT Wooly's
Wooly's is a live music venue in Des Moines, Iowa that hosts a wide range of performers. As an intern, I assisted with creating social media posts, developing marketing campaigns, selling tickets in the box office and other tasks at the venue.
Wooly's works alongside First Fleet Concerts, a booking agency, and Hinterland, a festival in St. Charles, Iowa. With both companies I continued to assist with promotion and marketing. First Fleet also taught me about everything that goes into the booking process. For Hinterland I got to work the festival which included working at the box office and the front desk, bartending, distributing employee meals to employees, and other duties to ensure a successful festival.
